Q10057 Bus power supply compatibility for PCI DAP boards

Tags: Help, DAP, motherboard, host computer, power supply, connectors

Applies to: All DAP boards with PCI bus interface

The motherboard in my computer has PCI-X slots operated at 3.3 volts. Are DAP boards compatible with this?

Yes. All PCI-bus DAP boards in active production status can operate with either 5.0 volts or 3.3 volts powering the PCI interface. The PCI connectors on the DAP boards are keyed to fit either kind of slot. They are 32-bit devices, so they do not use the additional 32 bus lines available on the 64-bit PCI-X connectors.

Information about active product status is available on the product life cycle page.
