Q10064 DAPserver video connection

Tags: Help, DAPserver, video

Applies to: DAPserver

The video on the DAPserver goes blank after the Windows XP flash screen appears for a few seconds. What can I do to fix it?

  1. If you have a flat panel monitor connected to the DAPserver via a DVI cable, hit Ctrl+Alt+F4 once or twice after the video goes blank. If you have a CRT monitor connected, try Ctrl+Alt+F1 once or twice. If the video does not return, proceed to step 2.

  2. Reboot the DAPserver and hit the F8 key to enter into Safe Mode.

  3. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Display adapters. Check the version of the driver installed for the Intel Graphics Controller. The latest version is 6.14.10.4497, dated 2/7/2006. If the version is not the latest, proceed to step 4 to install the latest driver. If it is, you might have a defective SBC.

  4. Download the latest Intel graphics driver below. Run the executable in Safe Mode and reboot the PC into Normal Mode. If the video still does not work, contact Microstar.

Applies to DAPserver5xx models only.
