Q10006 Are 32-bit DAP applications compatible with Windows 7 and Window 8?
I have a 32-bit DAPL system and a 32-bit PC application to run it. It runs fine on Windows XP or Windows Vista, but I want to run it on a 64-bit Windows 8 system. Can I do this?
The 32-bit applications will run on a 64-bit Windows 7 system using its 32-bit compatibility mode, but you must use newer versions of the DAPcell services and utilities software from DAPtools 6.10 or newer. The DAPtools version 6.00 or later is recommended, since this release is oriented toward Windows 7 and Windows 8, and will give your newer applications direct access to the Windows 7 native 64-bit mode in the future, if you need it. Your DAPL configuration and application files remain compatible.
