Choose signal interface (SI) modules for your DAPserver based on the features you need: signal conditioning, quadrature decoder, counter-timer, sample-and-hold, isolation, and more. And include the Data Acquisition Processor (DAP) board – or boards – best suited for your application. Isolation refers to isolation from high voltage and power. SI modules all include the level of isolation required to prevent ground loops. Using these boards saves you from having to take other steps against this common nuisance. If spurious currents are corrupting your signals, your application is not doing the job you want it to do. Add an Ethernet cable and you have a remote data acquisition system. Add a keyboard, pointing device, and monitor and you have a complete on-site workstation, as well as a full-service data acquisition system.
