Option 1: Accel64 Server for 64-bit systems.1,2

Real time acquisition with generic systems: Accel64 for Linux v2.00
Accel64 PCI Server, v. 1.00. (posted 2024, for 64-bit Linux 5.xx kernels)3 (View the Release Notes.)

Option 2: Accel32 Server for 32-bit systems.1,3

Real time acquisition on generic platforms: Accel32 for Linux v.3.0 supports GNU/Linux 4.xx kernels
Accel32 PCI Server, v. 3.00. (posted March 2016, for 32-bit Linux 4.xx kernels)2(View the Release Notes.)

Option 3: Additional Support: Some newer generic GNU/Linux distributions no longer provide libraries used by the 'daplog' software (available on the DAPtools Software CD) and the 'iDscDev' software. If you encounter 'missing library' errors, this distribution can provide suitable copies of the libraries and construct the symbolic links needed to access them.

Version notes

  1. The Accel32 Server and Accel64 Server are for PCI boards only and are not compatible with the earlier PCI Accel Drivers for Linux (PCIDAPS). The Accel32 or Accel64 file contains the Accel32/Accel64 Server for Linux binaries, the installation script and all the other files needed to use the Server and develop applications. The download file includes installation instructions.
  2. Accel64 Server, v. 2.00: This version was posted October 2024. This is the second release of a Linux support product with multi-architecture 32-bit ("x86") and 64-bit ("x64") platform support for Linux kernels in the 5.XX series. It is likely that this software is back-compatible with many of the later version of the Linux 3.XX kernel versions and tool sets, but there is no assertion or guarantee of such compatibility. If this release does not work with older 32-bit Linux distributions, the Accel32 for Linux version 3.00 release will remain available, and that will be much more likely to be compatible with the older systems.
  3. Accel32 Server, v. 3.00: This version was posted March 2016. This release is expected to be the last Accel32 for Linux product supporting 32-bit hardware platforms and Linux kernels from the 3.XX series. This code has been verified to work with Linux Mint 17 Quiana on a version 3.13 kernel, and with Fedora 23 on a version 4.2 kernel. The code has been compiled using the GCC / GCC++ 4.8 compilers.
